Psychological Immigration Evaluations

WHAT IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL IMMIGRATION EVALUATION?

For many in the immigration process, a psychological evaluation and report can be very helpful. This report can help document your story and any symptoms you may be experiencing related to what you have been through. It can be a valuable form of evidence for your case. If you are an attorney, I am happy to talk with you about my experience in providing immigration evaluations. If you are a client, I can assure you that I will provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to share your story. These psychological reports can impact the outcome of a case. I provide reports for the following cases:

  • T-Visa

  • U-Visa

  • VAWA / I-360

  • Asylum

  • Extreme Hardship Waivers (I-601, I-601A, I-212, etc.)

  • Cancellation of Removal

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM AN IMMIGRATION EVALUATION APPOINTMENT

We would schedule an initial assessment that would take about 2 hours. If an interpreter is needed, we might extend that time to 3 hours. We could conduct this appointment over telehealth or in person. In the assessment, I would ask you about your history and about your symptoms. I am very skilled at making clients feel comfortable, even when discussing difficult memories. At the end of our assessment, I can provide referrals for psychological treatment, if wanted.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REPORT

You may be eager to receive your report. These reports take an average of 2 weeks to turnaround. I will consider providing expedited reports on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee.

FEES AND POLICIES

The base fee for an evaluation and report is $600. Full payment is required at the time of appointment.

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you fail to cancel or reschedule your appointment with 2-days notice, you will be charged a fee of $100 to the card on file. If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged a fee of $100 to the card on file.

Please arrive on time to your appointment. If you arrive late, the assessment may be cut short and lower the quality of your report. It is important that we have the full time to conduct your appointment and provide a quality report to you.
